Machine Drawing

Between human touch and mechanical motion, a dialogue unfolds within matter itself. A drawing of a flower is given to the machine not as a model but as material.

Reworked and reformed, the clay that once shaped the flower becomes the vessel, its image returning upon a surface made from its own substance. The process collapses the distance between input and output, gesture and algorithm.
