The exhibition is part of Lille Métropole 2020, World Design Capital. Features objects from the Departments of Oriental Antiquities, Egyptian Antiquities and Greek and Roman Antiquities in dialogue with objects from the field of design.

The exhibition is divided into 5 dialogues: measurement, mass production, ornament, communication, the diffusion of knowledge, and finally the home. The pieces presented find formal similarities, common and universal uses.
